The accommodation is inside the public park rest camp (large area enclosed with electric fence) within the bungalows there for the classic Kruger experience. Furthermore, the bungalow windows have mosquito nets on the doors and windows.

Rooms have private bathrooms and air conditioning. Accommodations also utilize back-up power during load shedding.
The rest camp has a curio shop with lovely souvenirs, restaurants, bank, historical sites, museum and swimming pools to name but a few.
Bungalows / chalets in Kruger National park are round huts with thatch roofs.
They are relaxing and private with indigenous trees in between. Vervet monkeys, a large variety of birds, bush buck, warthogs and squirrels frequent the rest camp. Doors and windows of the bungalows face away from each other.
There is also some distance in between units to create a sense of exclusivity and privacy.
The rooms of the bungalows have clean linen, a daily cleaning service and bath towels. The bungalows are however a midrange/standard three star type of accommodation that is comfortable. If there are any small maintenance discrepancies, you can let the game ranger assist you, who also stays in one the rest camp facilities.

A Kruger SANParks Sunset Drive is enjoyed on arrival, after which dinner is enjoyed. Bottled water is included before activities.

Late arrivals (11:00 am shuttle) will have diner and a night game drive. The early arrival shuttle leaves Johannesburg at 6:30 am.

A Sabi Sand afternoon to night drive is enjoyed on arrival, after which a 3-course dinner buffet is enjoyed. Overnight at Umkumbe Safari Lodge (standard room). More expensive rooms increase the price (availability dependent). The superior rooms at Umkumbe Safari Lodge have a veranda overlooking the reserve and outside shower. In fact, should Umkumbe Safari Lodge Riverside not be available, we quote guests on Umkumbe Bush Lodge (a different lodge – which is an en-suite tented camp). Umkumbe Bush Lodge is located very near to Umkumbe Safari Lodge.

Both accommodations have en-suite rooms and air conditioning. Both accommodations utilize back-up power during load shedding.

The accommodation for Kruger Park is inside the public park rest camp (large area enclosed with electric fence) within the bungalows there for the classic Kruger experience. The rest camp has a curio shop with lovely souvenirs, restaurants, bank, historical sites, museum and swimming pools to name but a few.

Furthermore, the bungalow windows have mosquito nets on the doors and windows, whereas in Sabi Sand the beds have mosquito nets over. Do not worry about locking your doors at the Sabi Sand lodge, it is safe and you are completely remotely located in an large private game reserve.

Bungalows / chalets in Kruger National park are round huts with thatch roofs. They are relaxing and private with indigenous trees in between. Vervet monkeys, a large variety of birds, bush buck, warthogs and squirrels frequent the rest camp. Doors and windows of the bungalows face away from each other.

There is also some distance in between units to create a sense of exclusivity and privacy.

The rooms of the bungalows have clean linnen, a daily cleaning service and bath towels. The bungalows are however a midrange/standard three star type of accommodation that is comfortable. If there are any small maintenance discrepancies, you can let the game ranger assist you, who also stays in one the rest camp facilities.

The night at the Sabi Sand lodge is availability dependent. The next morning you have an early morning game drive, breakfast and optional bush walk in Sabi Sand (weather and guide availability dependent). Transfer to Kruger Park after your Sabi Sand stay. The optional bush walk is included at Umkumbe Safari Lodge, however at additional cost at Umkumbe Bush Lodge (a different lodge). It all depends which lodge/s are available for your required travel dates.

Kruger Tented Camp Safari with Sabi Sand Tours

On your first night, enjoy a thrilling game drive from afternoon to night in Sabi Sand, followed by a delicious 3-course buffet dinner. Also, the next morning, experience a Sabi Sand game drive and full breakfast with coffee, tea, and juice.

Weather permitting, a guided bush walk will follow. Then, take an afternoon Kruger game drive. All accommodations are in a rustic, midrange tented camp at Shaws Gate, just 5-10 minutes from Paul Kruger Gate.

Day 4: Kruger Park to Johannesburg

This morning you will enjoy some light snacks like home baked biscuits with coffee. Your game drive starts early and continues until breakfast time. It offers you the chance to possibly see the big 5 that have alluded you thus far. Breakfast is both hot and cold options with coffee, tea or juice. Your transfer back travels with the safari group to Hazyview (once-more) from where your shuttle back to Johannesburg takes you back to OR Tambo and nearby hotels in Kempton Park. Day 1: Johannesburg to Sabi Sand

Take a shuttle from 6:30 am onwards from OR Tambo airport and accommodations nearby the airport in Kempton park.

Arrival at Hazyview is at 12:00 pm at a center with various shops and restaurants (Perry’s Bridge). A safari transfer will take you from Perry’s Bridge to the Midrange Tented Camp Under Canvas at Shaws Gate of Sabi Sand (arrival by 14:00 pm).After check-in, enjoy a set lunch at the Midrange Tented Camp Under Canvas at Shaws Gate of Sabi Sand (5-10 min away from Paul Kruger Gate).Your afternoon to night game drive in an open-air safari vehicle starts at around 15:00 pm and continues well after dark to spot amazing Sabi Sand wildlife (ending around 20:00 pm).Dinner is a three-course buffet with water on ice at the tables.Overnight at the Midrange Tented Camp Under Canvas at Shaws Gate of Sabi Sand.
